Turkiye and Syria have recently suffered earthquakes that have caused widespread devastation and loss of life. Our hearts go out to those whose lives have been affected by this tragedy. A group led by Turkish American academics at Framingham State is hoping to rally the community to donate funding and supplies. The situation on the ground is dire, with thousands of people trapped under debris and waiting for a hand to hold on to life. Survivors are in need of basic necessities such as food, water, shelter, and medical assistance in freezing cold weather. Volunteers all over the world are working tirelessly to provide aid to those in need. However, due to the severity and urgency of the situation, they also need our support. All donations to this fund will support Turkish Philanthropy Fund’s (TPF) Earthquake Relief Fund and recovery efforts. Initially, the fund helps first responders meet survivors' immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water, medicine, and shelter. As needs emerge, the group will support longer-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted partner organizations in the impacted area(s). How Your Donation Will Be Used When you donate to TPF's Earthquake Relief Fund, your donation will be used to: · Provide food and emergency medical supplies to people and animals; · Support temporary relief and emergency supplies for displaced families; · Provide support to front-line workers, like volunteers of our partner organizations; · Meet other needs that emerge.
